The Matrix 5.0 is one of the better powders I've tried.
The Syntrax Matrix 5.0 and the Unjury are my top two choices. But since Unjury cost $1.05 a serving and the Matrix is less than $0.45 per serving the choice is a no brainer.
If your looking for a good tasting protein Matrix is worth trying. Far better than that gunk you get from GNC!

Had I known, I would not have purchased this in bulk.Also, one of the packets in the box was sliced open a little and there was powder everywhere.
The picture and the product shipped need to match!
The company was responsive and very good about it (they refunded my shipping).

(More customer reviews)After much research, several years ago I started using this muscle-gainer and have enjoyed it ever since. To me it is almost the perfect work-out / weight-lifting / energy / muscle-gaining drink. It has a great amount/ratio of carbs (85g ... only 5g in sugars), protein (60g .. several types), vitamins/minerals (usually only 20%-35% RDA ... some drinks put in 100% in many areas but I want to use a multi-vitamin, GNC Mega Men, instead), and taste (I have enjoyed my favorite banana, strawberry, and vanilla). It also has low sodium (15% RDA) and cholesterol (20% RDA) relative to many other drinks I saw, which are quite high in these areas ... beware. I don't drink it every day, just usually about half a serving before a workout and half after. That gives me enough carbs/energy to enjoy the workout and then protein after for good/reasonable muscle growth, all the while staying low in body-fat. It easily mixes with lowfat milk or soy milk, and tastes good with both. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

(More customer reviews)I've tried quite a few protien powders over the years, but this one has been my personal favorite.I know taste is very subjective, but this one tastes much less chalky then many of the "Mainstream" brands.I combine ice, milk, flaxseed, "instant coffee", and two big scoops of this in my shakes, and it tastes just like a milkshake from a diner.Difficult to say how much I've benefitted nutritionally from the protien, since I've really stepped up my workout lately.The chemical content on most whey protien products seem very similar, so taste is really what I go by since I don't have a degree in chemistry.
