(More customer reviews)They do not make this obvious! I would like to know how to return it. I do not eat artificial sweeteners and was not happy when I saw that this product contains stevia. It had a funny taste so I looked closely at the ingredients. They should post that 'This product contains the artificial sweetener Stevia!'

(More customer reviews)I was looking to gain more muscle from my workouts, and picked this based on having tried the DESIGNER WHEY Protein 2GO Pak, Pomegranate Fruit, 10 Count .53 Oz Packets (Pack of 2).This also usesWhey protein (a must), and comes in reasonably mid-sized containers.Tasting reasonable without too many fake ingredients was also a requirement.
(seriously though, why do most protein mixes come in gigantic jugs the size of my head, or overpriced mini portions?)
This protein powder seems to work for me.I'd had trouble adding lean mass despite working out regularly, since getting enough protein from my diet usually meant getting too many calories.So, I stepped up my strength building, having a serving of this mix right after every workout and I've noticed a difference in how much muscle I've added since.
It mixes/dissolves reasonably well in a tall glass with a spoon (more so with room temperature water than with chilled).The directions recommend using a blender, but I've never bothered.There's a residue left in the glass but nearly all of it dissolves typically.The recommended serving mixed with 12oz of water tastes bland like skim milk.Far from repulsive, but not particularly yummy.I'd call the taste acceptable.
The sweetener used is oligofructose which seems to be more natural/healthful than the Aspartame-like sweeteners used in other products.
Recommended for building lean mass in combination with strength training.After going through 3 canisters, I'm going to keep using it.Recommended.

(More customer reviews)I've been weight training for about 6 years and in that time have used just about every major brand of protein supplement and meal supplement - EAS (Myoplex, Whey), NitroTech, Optimum Whey, MET-Rx, Designer, GNC, etc. Labrada's V60 continues to be my favorite.
As far as flavor, the vanilla tastes as good or better than the other protein powders I've had. The chocolate is mediocre, not quite as good as Myoplex. The banana flavor...well, you might want to pass on that one. My personal recommendation would be to get the vanilla and add a small amount of chocolate or strawberry syrup, bananas or peanut butter if the flavor becomes boring.
It mixes easily so it can be put in a shaker cup or tossed on a bowl of cereal for breakfast.
It's not a meal replacement, and doesn't contain additional vitamins and minerals like Myoplex or ProPlete, so I wouldn't recommend it as a complete meal replacement - at very least take a multivite with it. The plus side is that this keeps the carbs and calories relatively low for consuming 60g protein (most other brands deliver around 40g protein for the same calories/carbs).
Now whether the body can actually use 60g of protein in one dose is still up for debate. Since this is a relatively high dose of protein (assuming you're consuming 4-6 30g scoops per day), I would strongly recommend consuming a half gallon of water each day to minimize the strain this puts on the kidneys.

(More customer reviews)I've been using Aria as my protein drink breakfast for the past couple of summers. It's especially good with strawberries and a 1/2 banana blended with ice. Try it, too, with cocoa powder, a bit of banana, and some instant coffee or finely ground coffee beans, again blended with ice.
It's pretty darn good.

(More customer reviews)As a weight loss coach I'm always on the lookout for products that can have a positive effect. I'll be honest. I snickered at the plug for this on the Biggest Loser and said it's obviously just regular whey powder rebranded with their name to sell. (I tend to snicker at many things promoted heavily on tv...this is normal for me.)
Okay, I'll own that I was wrong...I never even LOOKED at this product for months but someone in one of my weight loss groups mentioned it so I did.
First, it has less than half the calories for the same serving as most whey powders. Maybe all whey powders. I spend a LONG time in stores comparing stats and this beat out the lowest ones I used to use by FAR in it's nutritionals.
Second it uses Stevia as a sweetener. Stevia is all natural and is waaaaay sweeter than sugar so you only need a tiny bit of it in comparison to sugar. (This and Agave are the only low calorie sweeteners that health and all natural markets sell) I refuse to use artificial sweeteners now because I've read too much about them but I never leave the house without my stevia packets.
Third...it just works. I've used whey powder for years to help with my fitness and weight loss plan. It not only keeps you full, but it helps muscles after a workout.Plus fiber has been shown to assist weight loss which is why it's a huge part of the Weight Watchers plan...and so many other things I could make this review very long by adding. It's just uber good stuff.
I personally like to make a smoothie with this powder and add in some fruit. I love the taste of this smoothie. I also just found out they have blueberry flavor and I'm psyched...I've never seen that in a whey powder. The vanilla is great because it gives you a plain base to either utilize on it's own or with other flavorings or fruit. After a mega workout I'll even add a bit of prepared oatmeal and a few teaspoons of all natural peanut butter for a mega filling mega protein boost...but that adds more calories obviously.
Also, it's hard for some of the people I work with in losing weight to get their water servings in each day. I suggest adding a little but of the whey protein to the water for both flavor, vitamins, protein etc. It's a win/win all around. I do this as well. Cheaper and healthier than the flavored packets for water and this contains no artificial sweeteners and is packed with goodies for your body so it's a better alternative to flavoring your water or milk if those servings are hard for you to do.
This helps me in between meals in a HEALTHY way that assists my weight goals rather than sidetracking them...
