(More customer reviews)The fact that this product is sweetened with Xylitol, which is a sugar alcohol, could cause problems for many people, including me.Sugar alcohols can cause painful gas and adominal upset. Since Joran Rubin is very much into solving intestinal problems for people with his Primal Defense (a wonderful product) it surprised me you would use a sugar alcohol in any of his products.
Plus this is not meant to be a meal replacement shake, it is a meal supplement.I believe it says that you should take it before or in between meals to make you less hungry, so you eat less.After I drank one of these I felt just as hungry as before.I like the Garden of Life supplements, but was very disappointed in this one.It made me wonder if it was designed by the same people.I threw two big jars of this stuff out.
Also Garden of Life is proud of the product "Goatein" which is protein powder that comes from goat's milk. Here is what they say about Goatein.

But yet when they made this "Perfect Meal" they used whey protein powder instead. I think I read that Garden of Life is the only company that makes protein powder from goat's milk.So why would they use whey protein powder? Like I said before, this product doesn't sound like it was designed by Garden of Life.I like many of their other products I have tried, but not this one.

(More customer reviews)I have try others meal replacement products, the popular ones with many ads, and no one has even come close to The Perfect Meal.It is really delicious, like a milk shake, and leaves you full, satisfied and with cero cravings.I take mine with fat free milk, I like it better than water.I replace my breakfast and diner with this, and sometime I even have it for snack... yes, is that delicious!
If you are trying to lose weight the healthy way, I would recomend you to try this, it's load with vitamins, minerals and probiotics, plus fiber.

(More customer reviews)I used this in the past and loved it, but when they changed the formula, I decided to use Jarrows or Mt. Capra which are just like Garden of Life used to be before the change. Garden of life cheapened the formula by removing the good stuff(the fermented goat milk protein) and adding a sweetener(makes it grossly sweet). Look at most all Garden of Life products and they use a fermentation process to help predigest for easy assimilation. They removed that key ingredient in the new formula, making this a low quality product when compared to the others(by the way, Mt Capra supplies Garden of Life with main ingredients). On top of that, Garden of Life is more expensive than the other products. I still use Garden of Life-Primal Defense, but cannot recommend this product over the other mentioned brands.
